That's how Grace Dent described us on Saturday, 13th August, Guardian Feast.
Noted by Grace, at Dongnae, we’re doing something a little different to how Korean food is often perceived in the UK. We focus on traditional fermentation techniques to shine a light on the best possible ingredients available to us, creating dishes that represent a different kind of Korean cuisine, one that is both authentic yet true to our surroundings. And pairing these with low-intervention wines is something we believe complements them beautifully.
Kyu’s mugwort cake was singled out as one of the best things Grace has ever tasted. While it’s currently replaced by our summer matcha terrine, we promise it will return to the menu soon…
