Dongnae (동네) is a warm and welcoming Korean neighbourhood restaurant brought to you by Kyu Jeong Jeon and Duncan Robertson. The couple met in Paris at one Michelin-starred L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Rue du Bac, then moved to Brive la Gaillarde in SW France, where they opened and ran Restaurant L’Envie, which received a Michelin star two years after opening. Kyu and Duncan then moved to Korea, where they stayed for nine years, before returning to the UK to launch Bokman in Bristol.

The name "Dongnae" (동네) means “neighbourhood” in Korean, and we’re absolutely thrilled to become a part of the vibrant Chandos Road community.

We are open for lunch and dinner, serving a menu inspired by Kyu’s upbringing in Seoul, and our time living there, and, of course, the amazing flavours of traditional Korean BBQ. You can expect a fantastic value lunch menu, à la carte options, and for the curious, our Hanjeongsik (Korean banquet style) menu, which will showcase some of our favourite dishes.
