Dongnae among the Good Food Guide's 100 Best Local Restaurants
On Monday 13 July, we headed to London for the Good Food Guide 100 Best Local Restaurant Awards. This was the first year we made the list and we are so happy to have been named Number 35!
We opened Dongnae just under two years ago, taking our name from the Korean word for 'neighbourhood' and basing ourselves in the vibrant community of Bristol's Chandos Road. To be recognised among the Good Food Guide's 100 Best Local Restaurants feels like a true reflection of our ethos.
The shortlist depends on nominations from their readers; locals who vote for the restaurants in their area that are meaningful to them and the neighbourhood. We are therefore so grateful to all of you who nominated us and the kind words you wrote about Dongnae. It truly is our regulars and locals who make our restaurant what it is.
